Juicing recipes for weight loss and detox

Well, you might be asking, “Can you lose weight by juicing?”

I did, and I felt great. The clean up of my juicer was a little more involved than opening a container and pouring store bought juice into a glass, but I felt good knowing exactly what ingredients I was using. Many ingredients listed on store bought items in some areas are not legally required by law to list ‘all’ of the ingredients in the product like some preservatives or the use blanket terms to cover potentially harmful additives.

Healthy Cleanse & Detoxification Recipe

Start with the Ingredients:

2  apples

4 celery sticks

1 head – Romaine lettuce

1 head spinach

1 handful of parsley

¼ lemon

1″ ground ginger root

 

Cut and wash the vegetables. Then cut the apples to fit into the hopper of your juicer of course. Roll leafy vegetables up in a tight bunch and load into the juicer, alternating the green apple pieces. If you’re going to use the ginger, add it halfway through your juicing process, as it’s very small, so that it gets worked in well. This way it is fed into the juicer with the other ingredients.

 

juicingMakes approx. 600 ml  of  green juice. If you’re not used to drinking these green juices, drink only about 6oz the first day and gradually increase. Too much, too fast, on a toxic person with these types of healthy drinks can cause dizziness, headaches or nausea. If you experience any of these symptoms, cut back to a manageable amount per day.

There are many testimonies of people who have lost weight by juicing and have felt great in the process. You can feel the results of the concentration of nutrients and their effects almost immediately.
